Conversations with Clay

Conversations with Clay is an exhibition currently at Gracefield Arts Center in Dumfries. Each ceramic artist was invited to select a visual artist to explore common themes and ideas in each other’s work. This has been a wonderful project to work on over the last 9 months with Archie McCall, our main commonality was historical Japanese aesthetics, particularly relating to nature, and we focused on exploring the raised peat bog Kirkconell Flow.
A fascinating exhibition to see how artists work together, it is on until May 2nd 2026, see poster below.
